Hey Donna

Sorry to hear you can't come to the party. But I feel like I should warn ya that there is a small phenomenal withdrawal fee. It could bankrupt ya. Rumor is that it's a six figure number. But take heart, I hear it's nice in Old Mexico.

"OLD - MEXICO - HAVEN'T EVER BEEN THERE BUT I STILL WANT TO GO...."

Since your retired - and if I make $.50 on my book, ya wanta go fishen?

Planning on attending reunion.  Haven't seen anyone since the 5 yr reunion.  Just recently found this site and was so excited to read all the comments and catch up on the profiles.  Living in Greenville, TX (NE of Dallas).  My mom and brother (Ronnie) live in Canyon.

Good news!  Lloyd has been busy and has found us a place to congregate for our 45th on July 18th in Tulia.  I'm sure some of you are familiar with a restaurant called "Dorothy's".  It was originally owned by Ms. Boyett, then later by Alvin and now recently sold to Bryan Ballenger (son of Jackie & Barbara).  Bryan has agreed to open the restaurant that evening (exclusively for us) and will provide burgers and possibly other menu items (grilled or fried) at $10.00 per person.  It will also be "BYOB".  I will be forwarding an email to the class list to get a head count but I think this would be ideal for our gathering.  Other venues in town fill up fast and we are fortunate that Lloyd was able to complete his mission and find us some good space!  Thank you Lloyd for your time and diligence.  You will all be hearing from the site soon via email!  I'm looking forward to seeing you all in Tulia.

HOORAY Lloyd! YOU THE MAN!

Thanks you old fart (ups Celinda gunna get me).

In honor of all us old farts, (ups slipped again) who are really only 39, I'm gunna bring not only beer but some "red, red wine." Merlot for Censor Celinda. Maybe that'll chill the girl with the red dress on. I could ask you to wear the pink ribbon - but that might get us in trouble again. Who knows?

"THIS IS MY TOWN LALA, LALALA....."

See ya'll and you guys there!

Hey dudes and DUDETS,

While I'm sitten here eating.... Yes I know it's 4:00. This is my breakfast, lunch and supper. A bowl of beans and a half jug of milk. Yes, go old moooo juice. The stuff that makes cows smile when you squeeze an udder. Life is good for them. But I'll have a handful of mixed nuts later. Anyway I wanted to say hey. So hey!

I look forward to seeing you all for the second time in 45 years. Shame on me. It one of those should-a, would-a, could-a but didn't-a kinda things. However, as Kid Rock sang "GOT ONE FOR YA - JUST A LITTLE BIT...."

Ya see in those lost 40 years I remembered all ya as you once were. As you were in T.H.S. In my mind for 40 years you were young, vibrant and looked like you did in T.H.S. The good old days. But let me continue least you think me a sentimental old slob.

For 40 years I keep you  "ALWAYS ON MY MIND...." And in there you were your beautiful, young self. No need to thank me. There's no charge for that. My pleasure. So ya want to be young and frisky again? Come into my mind. Live there and be free. Like Hotel California you can come on in but ya can't leave. That is unless you decide to paying up for your 45 year presence. And once you walk around in my Twilight Zone, Outer Limits mind you'll wanta leave. Believe me. Then I'm in the money.....!!!!! Yes! This is my great backup plan in case my book don't sell! Rich indeed - rich indeed!!!!

Randall

Look forward to July

Hey Debra,

Thanks. I didn't know about Vicky and her battle. I didn't even know she was in Amarillo. Regardless it sad to loose another classmate and friend. Cancer got my Mom in 2011 and my favorite auntie last year. It's a mean illness. Vicky will be missed by us all.

See ya on the other side girlfriend.

Sorry to hear about Vicky.  Randell, I do not have the patience for fishing, but if you want to shoot something I there.  As some of you know my retirement was not exactly my idea, and I am still having trouble adapting to it.  I still hope to return to work in a few months.  Since I am retired we will be attending the reunion July 18th.  Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Denice Rossi (Gerber)

I am not going to be able to attend our 45th Class Reunion after all. I will be attending a family reunion with my husband. I will however be going to whatever event is on Friday night (July 17th) on the square. I believe David Knall sang last year. Perhaps I will get to see some of you then.

06/17/15 07:53 PM #1026

Claudette Laramore (Mierzwik)

Did I miss something...has there been any information about the 45th reunion on July 18 as to what time we are meeting at the restaurant?  I know I saw the restaurant but don't know where it is located.  I haven't been to Tulia since the 10th reunion and I don't remember much about the town layout.

Randy Stephens

Hey mattes, or should I say classier's. How about, classmattes and mates...?

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. Claudette, I'm gunna bring you one of my memory pills. I know you ran around Tulia like the rest of us in THS. So, it just a matter of remembering. Of course there are probably some things you don't want to remember so you can take only half a pill. It'll fix ya right up girl. It's guaranteed. Lifetime fix or your money back. And I only charge a small, phenomenal fee.

Tredway, if I bring all my fire arms there won't be any room for luggage. But I always carry my 357 Ruger with me wherever I go.

Hey retirement is good if you have something else you like to do, and enough long green, loot, folding stuff, money that is. I retired last year and worked on the book. But I got a call in May from an old friend who begged me into part time work with him. Three days a week. Damn, I miss my three days. So there goes my retirement. For a while anyway.

Denice, I haven't ever been to the Friday night thing. Where and what time does it happen. and I'll be there with my boots on. Cloth optional!

LOVEN EVERY MINUTE OF IT...................

Randall

Claudette Laramore (Mierzwik)

Cindi, thanks for the info on the reunion.

Randy, I appreciate the offer on the memory pills but I'm thinking they won't help on this deal.  I had to go to google maps to see what Dorothy's looked like to see if it would jog my memory....NOTHING.  Not much of town looked familiar...has it changed that much???  This country girl didn't get to town much.

Looking forward to the reunion.

Grettings to all.  Some of you are wondering why my retirement was not what I wanted  to do.  Well I did not have much of a choice.  To answer everyone's questions here goes.  On Noverber 1st 2013 I took off work to have surgey on my  back.  However during the pre admit they informed me I had a problem.  On 11/23/13 they did 5 bypasses on my heart, ,oh by the way "You have lung cancer.".  In February 2014 they removed the lower lobe of my right lung.  April 2014 they finally did the back surgey .  However while I was recovering it became evident that I was not healing the way I should.  After the MRI they fusied the lower part of my back in August 2014. I was off work for 19 months before I used up all of my vac, sick, holiday, comp, and accrued overtime. In February 2015 I went on leave without pay.  Without an income I was forced to retire.

I currently go to physical therapy 3days week and cardio rehab 2 days a week. Due to nerve damage in my back I drop my right foot when I walk.  However I am improving a may be able to return to work in a few months.  I did not plan to spend 5days a week in a gym.  I am healing well a everyone can not believe I have been through all this and be in this good of condition.

I'm looking forward too seeing everyone at the reunion.

Hey Tredway,

Wow, sounds like you're lucky to be alive and kicking after all that. Maybe your not kicking too high but you're still kicking. However, I ain't worried because I've know you're tough.

It was a Jr. High football game. We were 7th graders and in a heated game. I don't remember where or who we were playing. You were left tackle and had always knocked holes in the defensive line big enough for me and a freight train to run through. This game, however, you were having trouble with the defensive tackle and the holes weren't there.

Coach Lance call me to the sideline and ask what was wrong and why wasn't I busting through the line. I didn't want to say anything so I just shrugged. You remember Coach, he was a bulldog that wouldn't let go. Finally he said, "If you don't tell me what's happening out there you can sit on the bench for the rest of the game." Sorry Lonnie, but I loved the game so I told coach, Tredway's getting stuffed in the hole. Coach looked at me and said "run up Treadways back." Surprised I just looked at coach. He continued. "Tell Dickens to run a dive left and you run up Treadway's back. Again I stared at Coach. I guess he saw the 'I don't want to do that' look on my face because he said, "it's a wake up call Stephens." We ran the play and I did what Coach told me.

In the huddle you stared at me, but said nothing. Couple plays later Dickens call dive left again and the fright train hole was back.

Tredway, sounds you just had another wake up call. Coach is calling a dive left and it time for the left tackle to knuckle down. I know you can and I know you will. Give um hell Tredway.
