Hey Cindi,

It's was 1987 a 17 yr reunion at Tulia Bowl I was manager of the bowling alley for Daryl and Danny.  I remember me and Lloyd went and got a keg and Treadway ask who paid for the beer and I said me and Lloyd so he said u need a tip jar out here, well after we stayed up till 3 or 4 in the morn. bowling I went up there the next day to clean up the mess and there was over two hundred dollars in the tip jar. Damnit!!!! Would love to see the pics of our 17th yr reunion. I think u and Bev came up with the idea and turned out pretty good.     Will write some more later on some thing's that I remember in junior high and high school.  Like I was the last one to go out with Rocket until Stevie took her away from me!!!!!   Damnit!!!!  Or Maureen was the first girlfriend I had untill Mother and Daddy found out she was Catholic so I went after Roxanne because she was Presbertian sp  Like that made a dif!!!!!! LOL

Check out the new link "PICS-1970 1987 1990". I have posted the promised senior picnic photos, along with some miscellanous shots and reunion photos from 1987 &  1990.  I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane since some of you (e.g., J.K.) don't seem to remember too clearly how much fun you actually had at some of these events! (sorry, J.K., I couldn't resist)

Ralph: Thanks for clarifying the date of the "bowling" reunion. I thought it was '87 but the pics were not date stamped so I couldn't be sure!  I was here in CA so am not sure who actually put it together but I do remember it was a lot of fun and the photos are proof.  There was dancing, drinking & bowling.  It just doesn't get much better, huh?  Also, did you ever find that darn Beatles' record "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"? I know you accused Roxanne and me of stealing it but I think you "loaned" it to us at the movies one night and I'm sure we returned it.  It may have been a little worn after a night of repeated play but I didn't end up with it and I don't think Roxanne did either!

OMG...busted!

I was going for the "most changed class member" in the last picture!

Maybe I need to check out my picture albums again and revisit memories.

Can't wait to see all of you.

HEY.

Looks like everybody at the senior trip had a beer, smoke or both in their hands except me and Bev.

I always was a fine, clean cut, straight, no non sense all american kind of guy: and there I am holding Pope up so he wouldn't fall down drunk.  Ya'll were such bad, naughty kids. No wonder the world has come to what it is.

Rain is a good thing

Hey Cindi,

Great job on the website!  It gets better all the time.

The latest "photographic evidence" is really cool except...   Randy S.'s right hand is not in the pic, so he escaped prosecution.  Surely we can assume guilt by association, don't you think?!?

Your Mom called me over to check out the banner you ordered.  It looks great and should work just fine!  I'll round up some bunji cords and/or twine to tie it on.

See everyone in 3wks. & 6days!

I can't believe that it is 26days 16hrs. 39min. 28sec. til the reunion.  I didn't figure that up, if you click on 'About this Site' it has a countdown clock.

I am getting excited / anxious / nervous about see everyone.

Does anyone know where Melanie Butler, Freda Clark, Debra Love, Marsha Sharp or Paul Sharp are?  I wish everyone was registered, but was looking over the list and wondered especially about these.

Welcome Vicki Jennings Hayes, very good to see you get registered!

Randy S: In reference to your posting of 6/18 and your proclaimed "innocence" I have to know just how long it took you to type that message. You had to have been laughing hysterically making it difficult to keep your fingers on the keyboard!  Just FYI - there were other photos (with proof of your participation in drinking the nectar) but I could not scan them. All of the photos have been in an album for 40 years with a plastic sheet overlay and have resided in a box in my garage where temps in the summer can exceed 130 degrees.  Unfortunately, the plastic sheet was stuck to the photos on a  couple of pages and those pics could not be included. Believe me, I tried and the quality was so poor and fuzzy it wasn't worth the effort. Darn it all!

Connie:  Deltah and I both have emailed Debi Love about the reunion with no response.  I have also made attempts to get in touch with Melanie through Classmates.com and, again, with no response (I'm beginning to think there's a pattern here . . . maybe its me they don't want to respond to).  Also, Freda is my ex sister-in-law and I asked my nephew, Danny, to give her all the info about the reunion.  He says she doesn't use a computer but promised to get the details to her.  She lives in Plainview.  Paul Sharp is in Tennessee so I hope Ralph is successful in getting a respone from his sister.  I'm sure Marsha is still in Lubbock and affiliated with TT so I am going to look on their website and see if there is contact info there for her.  Also, I sent an email to Jo Beth McCracken (married to Richard Edwards) who is Brenda Lawson's sister-in-law.  Richard is also Debra McBeth's cousin.  JB is going to forward the reunion info to these two.

Lloyd: Thanks for taking the time to stop by mom's and check out the banner (& for obtaining the necessary materials to secure it).

It's now 25 days, 21 hours and 48 minutes until reunion time (but who's counting, right?).  See you all soon!

Cindi.

You changed your photo's. I want to know which is the real Cindi. Will the real Cindi please stand up!

And for that photo story. That's a good one girl. Old photo. Too bad to scan and so on. Yea, right. As the song goes, "That's my story and I'm sticking to it."  I'm like JK No Photo No Proof. And you all know how the old mind slips with time. You just thought I was a bad boy and really I was a sweet choir boy, innocent man, kid, boy just full of wishing and hoping and dreaming and....

So Cindi you really got me all wrong. I was and am still the sweet little boy of the knoll.

"Lover........... Lover..... Lover..... Lover you don't love me no good no more."

J. K. Milam

Had an interesting phone call from my mom last night (father's day). She asked me when I had last seen my high school senior ring. This is an interesting question at this time of day, since I had enjoyed several cool ones on a hot Sunday afternoon (my usual occupation on Sunday afternoon, hell every afternoon for that matter) so I flippantly replied "I haven't even thought about it in 40 years, last I saw it was in your house in my old bedroom". A young man in San Marcos, TX had just called her and explained to her he had purchased a metal detector the day before and had been out in his backyard experimenting with it.  He struck gold (14 carat, I believe) near his back porch. He found a 1970 Tulia High School ring. He googled Tulia High School and found our 40th reunion page listed. He e-mailed the administrator of the web site, after he found my name listed. ( My intials JKM were on the inside of the band). He then did a white page search for my name and came up with my parents in Tulia. He called mother and told her the story and is mailing it today to her. Later that evening he called me and told me the story. So, my question for all of you, is when have you last seen your high school ring. Again many thanks to Cindi for all of her hard work and dedication to our website or this story may never have happened. JK

J.K. I lost my about 20 years ago or at least that's the last time I saw it... or it may be in my ex-husband's attic... or knows... but I am sad that I have lost it... oh well, maybe some "metal man" will find mine...

J.K.: Wow, any idea how your ring ended up in a backyard in San Marcos?  I buried a necklace once in junior high that had a guy's name on it when he wanted it back to give to another girl.  I think Beverley or Sandra even helped me (I dug it up later).  Maybe there was a scorned female involved in the burial of your ring!  Ha ha.  Like Debbie, I lost my class ring in the early 80's!  I was surprised when I got the email from the guy with the metal detector in San Marcos and love that your ring story has a happy ending.

Randy SThe "real" me? Hmmmmm.  The only difference in my photos is that the previous one I used was taken at Christmas and the current one was taken about a month ago.  I'm just trying to keep them up to date.  As for the "no photo, no proof" defense you offer from the class picnic - it will never hold up.  You forgot about all the eye witnesses.  I was there . . .I remember.  However, I will agree that there is probably still some of that sweet and shy guy from the grassy knoll buried deep inside you!  Thanks again for sharing your memories.  Too bad you can't remember the Hereford beauty's name. That would be such a great story to share with HER after all these years.

JK and the ring....I had my class ring on my key chain at college. One weekend I was skiing at lake Brownwood, and tossed my keys to the person in the boat, which was fumbled, and the keys went into the lake and to the bottom.

Six months later I was in the Brownwood Coliseum attending the annual Rattlesnake round up, along with the flee market that followed it, and there sat my ring on a table. Upon inquiry, he was a diver who frequently dived at the lake by the docks, because he always found interesting things there. I ask if I could have it back and he replied, "for a recovery price". I said, " how much" and the price was not acceptable to me so I said, "Keep it". That's the last I ever saw of it.

JK/Gleason.

I think my girlfriend sold my ring when she was pissed at me back in the 70's. Hope she got a good price for it.

Cindi.

Where did this ghostly photo in the top right hand part of my posts come from? It looks just like me.

Feet in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand.

PS......    Finished work early today so I'm a chatting.

Well, I think I know where my ring is, I think it is in my jewelry box, but will check to see.  Haven't worn it in a million years, and I'm sure it doesn't fit, but will see if it is there.

Attention Reunion Attendees: It's time to get out your HS yearbooks & email me with your choice of photo for your reunion ID badge. I'm getting ready to finish those up and will give you a time-limited opportunity to select the photo from a Tulia yearbook. If I don't hear from you by JULY 2ND, then you'll just have to trust my judgment to pick the most flattering photo I can find of you from our freshman, sophomore or junior year.  As I have stated before, I can't use our senior yearbook photos because the green tint does not allow much clarity after scanning.  I can, however, use a black & white senior photo so feel free to email one to me. I found one of mine attached to a small calendar that was compliments of Story Studios.  If you've kept any of your school memorabilia you probably have one of those calendars, too!  If you didn't go to HS in Tulia and/or have no pictures in any of the yearbooks, please send me a wallet size photo to use from your high school days.  You can email me from my profile page or through the "contact us" link at the top of this page.  Thanks!

Cindi darling.

A pick is a pick girl. Know what I mean.

Just pick a pick of me girlfriend. But get my good side. Ok. A good, manly, macho, sexy one if you can. One that looks hot and steamy. You know like Cosner, Pitt or Dougles. But if it's not a good one you will owe me big time. Savoy girl. And I will collect baby!

Or you could just leave my tag blank and I'll ware a tape measure as a tie. Hey, save some money and don't make me a tag and I'll just ware the tape as my badge girl. Of course self says that I'll have to use the tape, if you know what I mean. Self has never gotten over missing the first measuring. It would mean a lot to him if we could make up for that night. He says just line um up and masses um out. He's so bad. Sorry ya'll.
