OK Dudes and dudetts.

The weekends over. Back to work. Oh shit. Another grindstone week. I'd rather be with the jet set. You know toes in the water ass in the sand.......

The month is almost over and I haven't had to killed anyone. Life is good. Oh I haven't told ya'll about my covert life yet. Wait I can't or I'd have to kill you. O well. What the hell.

Part 2 of my last story is almost ready ahead of time. Go figure. My bosses gave me time off with double pay so I could finish the story ahead of time. Ant it great.

Give em hell.

Rain is a good thing

Randy: Another great posting. Thanks for part 2 of the Hereford saga and for sharing your teen angst. I still think you need to track down that Hereford beauty and share the story!

Thanks to all who have responded with sending photos or letting me know which yearbook photo to scan for your reunion ID badge.  If you haven't responded and plan to send a photo please make sure it's in a .jpg or other photo format.  Please do not send a .pdf file.  I tried to convert a couple of .pdf photo files and it did not work well and the photos ended up distorted after cropping and re-sizing. The deadline for submitting photos is Friday, July 2nd. I am 2 hours behind Texas so I need the files by noon (Central time) on that day in order to get them submitted for printing by noon my time!

We are now about 17 days, 20 hours, and 15 minutes away from the reunion!  See you then!  Cindi

Photo Request Update:  For those of you who have asked that I go ahead and select a photo for your reunion ID badge, the task is proving a little more difficult than anticipated.  I pulled out my yearbooks to start the process and had forgotten that a lot of us used to sign our yearbook photo.  Don't be surprised if your badge has your autograph (or partial autograph depending on cropping) affixed to your photo.  Some of you actually signed across your face . . . what's up with that?  I also noticed that some people marked out their picture in my yearbook which, I suspect, is a sign the photo wouldn't have been first choice for a reunion badge anyway. At least that gesture narrows down the choices!  Again, if you have a senior photo or any other HS photo you can scan into a .jpg format for me that would be the best option.  I realize that not everyone has a scanner so maybe you can prevail on the kindness of a relative, co-worker, neighbor, etc. or hoof it over to a FedEx/Kinko for help.  Otherwise, please don't hold me responsible if a less than flattering photo ends up on your badge.  Some of the best ones I've earmarked can't be used because the signature covers half the face!  Again, I can only pledge to do my best!  Any help you can provide by sending a photo will be greatly appreciated and lighten the load a bit.  Thanks again for your support and the kind words I've received via email and message forum postings!

Thanks to those who have submitted their pics! I have received photos or instructions for selection from the classmates noted below & all photos have been successfully cropped, re-sized and forwarded to the vendor: Deltah, Jan, Jimmy K., Kathy B., Lloyd, Mike G., Susie, Connie, Kay L., J.K., Katrina, Sandi H., Rhonda S., Kay T., Bryan, Randy S., & Beverley.

If your name is not on that list and you want to submit a photo we are nearing "last call".  Again, I need your photos as soon as possible. My deadline for submitting to the vendor is noon (10:00 a.m. Central)tomorrow so I would like to have your photo no later than 8:30 a.m. Central Time.  My office is closed tomorrow but I am coming in to finish up this project so hurry, there's still time! Otherwise, you're at my mercy for the selection process.

A big thanks to Lloyd for his help in corraling an ornery photo for me and getting it in the right format.  Also, thanks to him again, along with Corny & Susie for finalizing our menu selection options!  There will be more information on that to follow.

I am happy to report that photos have been scanned, cropped, resized and submitted for reunion ID badges! There were 2 classmates with no yearbook photo so they will have a name only on their badge .

Thanks again to all for your help in sending your photos to me.  I did end up scanning quite a few from yearbooks this morning but the project is completed & I'm outta here to enjoy a 3-day weekend.  I hope all of you have a safe & happy 4th of July!  See you on the 17th.

Cindi, thanks for giving up part of your weekend to do work for the reunion, you are very much appreciated!

Your story tells me that you have been there, done it, read it, drank it, smoked it, sniffed it, ate it, felt it, said it, breathed it, seen it, talked it, and maybe even spit on it.

Way to go Waldo

J. K. Milam

I think it is Tommy Hudson (Hutson). He is in a few or the earlier class photos. I rode a bus with him for a few years, but I think they moved before we got to high school. They lived out the Love Road and south near the Herring place before you got to Adams Ranch. It was a long bus ride.

Donna, I have read your poem, also. Thank you so much.

Randall S., I'm always good at drinking beer. Looking forward to sharing a few with you.

Cindi., Again, Thank you so much for all your hard work on the reunion.

Randy,

I kinda wondered about Tommy Turner also, didn't he like our class so much that he stayed in high school a few extra years just so he could graduate with us?

Hey Donna: You (and all others) are very welcome! This has been a true labor of love for me and I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute.  The success of the website has already exceeded my wildest expectations and I am confident the reunion will too.  It looks like we are going to have a great turnout! I know there are additional folks who will attend but who are not registered via this site.  Thanks should also go to Lloyd, Mark, Susie, Cornelia & Beverley who have all taken time to scope out reunion sites and helped with menu selections and to Kathy & Buttons for their contribution for our float!  I think we are well prepared for everyone to have a great time!  See you there.  Hugs right back at ya! Cindi

JK.

Tommy Hudson's dad used to have a farm near us and back then i saw him often. Don't know whatever happened to him.

Terry Hudson was an upperclasser who I met at the Tulia Lake Rumble when I was a sophomore. He was a paratrooper in Nam. And when he returned we chopped and road bikes together. He married a girl fro Nazareth who was killed in a car wreck and shortly after that I lost track of him.

Connie.

I hung out some with Tuner and Odie (Dale) in High School but I lost track of Tuner. I think Tuner stayed as long as he did in High School to watch Odie's back.

Deb.

Thanks for the update.
