Ralphie B.

I've been pondering your inquiry about the month of March and it is a significant cosmic question you have considered dude. It goes as far back as the big bang theory. They say it happened in March. March made the world go round, and makes it still.

I have read somewhere that lots of the Roman Emperors were born in this most mystic month of the year. My granddad, on moms side, (who helped build the Eire Cannel) was born in March. Presidents, Kings, Queens, Generals, Martyrs, Bank Robbers, Millionaires, Tycoons, and a lot of other history movers and shakers were privileged to be born in the Ides of March.

And then there was me and you. What can i say, but that one day soon the world will be ruled, in peace and love by those born in March.

Early Bird gets the worm............ Lucky dog gets the bone.......... and MARCH ROCKS.,

OK, Cindi ! I think if you named the banquet dates I gave to Lloyd to scan, you should have named the JK, dates and all the other banquet date photos.  Whats up with that????Ha! I had reservations about putting all those in, and Lloyd was so nice, he said, "you put your date photos in," so we should put mine in too. Oh well, at least it shows all the banquets we had in our highschool days. Colorado did'nt do much formal stuff, when my girls were in school. They only had the Jr Sr banquet.

Thanks so much for helping to get the photos on the web site. Really I know it's late, but I did want to share the Jr Sr prom phots of the paintings we all did. (from Jo Raymonds, paint by number flats.) I thought they were remarkable when he drew them for us to paint. I hope everyone will go to the fun pics and look at the photos. Lloyd did a great job on the elementary photo of Van Bonds. It was pretty messed up and Lloyd did great, on all the photos. Thanks so much. I hope some of you remember the Jr Sr banquet we put on for the seniors. Maybe the photos will remind of us of some of the things we did in highscool. see ya soon!

The weather has been great the past few days. Tulia has a good climate, it's cool at night and hot during the day.  The coastal storms have really made our weather nice for July!

Hey Delia: Somehow, the title "Cindi's One Date" just doesn't have the same ring as the title I gave your photos.  The picture with Bryan isn't a date - he simply got stuck as my escort for the Mr./Miss THS assembly. Believe me, If I had more date photos to post they'd be on here for sure! However, in order to do that I would've had to have actual dates in high school.  I did have one other prom date but couldn't find that photo.  I love it that you let me post your photos.  They're awesome! I am happy to post any prom date (or homecoming)photos and encourage others to forward theirs to me.

I'm looking forward to seeing you (and everyone else) next weekend!

HEY CINDI.

You have my permission to post my Prom pics. All and any of them.

Oh, wait.

I never went to prom.

But I'm pretty good at drinking beer.

See you soon!

D

Promise you won't tell the flower story to anyone. You and I can share notes at the reunion and collaborate later in writing the story to post on the forum. OK.

I'll even share opening day proceeds with you. It'll will be box office smash.

HAY YA'LL.

Does anybody remember Gideon. He was a year ahead of us in school.

His dad (J.B.)  helped us on the family farm for years. His dad was a family friend, a hard working man and introduced me to Days Work chewing tobacco. Man that was some strong stuff. I remember J.B. laughed like crazy when it made me sick, but he never told dad.

He just said, "Got to get used to your bacco son."

And I did. After awhile I could chew and spit with the best of um. You ask, why was this such a thing?

Well; my spittin, which I perfected to an art, got me engaged to my first wife and if I bring her to reunion you can ask her. Hey that's romantic, I don't care who you are.

But if I bring all of my wives, I'll have to pass the hat for the room and board if you know what I mean.

I'm good, I'm crazy and beer is king.

Randall

PS

If any of you single again people want lessons. Well maybe we can work something out like a crash course. Of course there will be a small, phenomenal fee and I will consider singing at your wedding.

Cindi, I appreciate all you have done, I am just too sensitive. I know we will all have a great time and it's fun to see all the photos and things you have put on the site for us all. Thank-you!!!!

R .  I don't know what you mean??? Ha. You are the one who broke the flower story to the public. I sent my memory to the private email!!!  I really would never tell anything personal about my actions. We were only 6th or 7th grade???  YOU were very sweet then!  You still are, I'm sure.

SEE EVERYONE SOON!

HEY D.

What can I say. I live in a glass house. I'm an open book for all to read. What you see, what you read, is what you get.

And as Cowboy Troy says, "Get you some of this." LOL.

But my 6th and 7th grade romances are still HOT stuff. The stuff novels and movies are made of. And the flower could be another hit girl. And yes, you were sweet too. and I'm sure you still are. Can't wait to see ya'll.

Wells.

I love my truck, I love my girlfriend, I love my Red Man, and I love this bar. My kinda place...........

And I won't die wormy.

Parade Information:

Remember 8:30 in the morning to load the trailer for the parade.

Parade organization said to get as close to the Dallas Street Gym with our trailer as possible, so we'll try our best.

They also said it would be fine to leave your vehicles on the high school parking lot. We'll bring you back there when the parade is over.

New Info - look for a silver Dodge Ram flatbed pickup with a black trailer. This is a change from the black pickup we originally told you to look for.

                       See you in the morning!

What a reunion!  Final count (tallied & re-tallied a number of times) shows 57 classmates & 36 guests for a total of 93 people who joined in the fun and paid to participate in the dinner. We did have some additional guests who stopped by to say hello!  I ended up with 22 of the 25 cameras and one extra disposable that was left on a table.  If you have one of the remaining cameras please be sure & forward the photos to me for posting on the reunion photo album link!  All cameras left behind were used to the max so we will have a wide variety of pictures for posting.  Be sure & check in periodically to view the results!

I am overwhelmed by the generosity of my fellow reunion attendees and thank you all for your donations to the cause to help offset expenses!  Thank you, too, to Lloyd, Jan & Beverley (you little scoundrels) for bestowing me with the title of "Reunion Queen".  I will represent the class to the best of my ability and wear my sash and tiara proudly (ha). You guys are the best!

Thanks again to Kathy Carlisle for providing parade transportation; Mike Gleason for being our "music man"; Cornelia for providing shade in the park; and to Mark and Susie (Cornelia, Lloyd and Beverley, too) for their contributions and assistance in planning the event.  Last, but not least, a huge special thank you to Lloyd & Beverley for assisting with the check in and fund collection process and for Beverley's help with loading and hauling in the gift bags.  I should also mention my mother, Sue, and my great-nephew, Chaz, who formed an assembly line in my mom's den to help me organize & stuff the bags and my great-niece, Courtney, and niece-in-law, Teresa, who helped load the bags.  My family is awesome and I am truly blessed!

I, for one, had a great time and truly enjoyed seeing and talking to each and every one of you.  Many of you suggested we consider having our next reunion in 5 years instead of 10.  I will be posting a survey on the site some time next week to get your feedback on this matter.

I hope all of you who came miles to attend have a safe trip home!  Till we all meet again, take care & God bless.  Cindi

Kathy Breitling (Carlisle)

Through all the years of my life, I have been very blessed.  I don't think blessings are apparent to us as we are growing up.  It is a realization that comes to us as we grow older.  I think many of us have made that realization in the last few years.  That is the reason so many responded to this fortieth reunion.  No matter what mode of transportation you used, you are to be commended for your effort in returning to your home town for this wonderful celebration of friendship.

Nothing can compare to being raised in a small town.  I know there are many things in life that we miss out on, but there are also some very important values that we wouldn't have received if we hadn't have been here.  School is a happy memory for me.  I wish all of us could say the same.  Friendship played a big role in that memory, and again, that is one reason I am so blessed.  Our lives, from the time we entered school, became woven together until a bond was created that held us together.  I am grateful that our bond is so strong, and we still have a link that holds us.

Thanks to Cindi and company for all the hard work.  It was a wonderful reunion.  I look forward to our next meeting and wish all of you and your families good health and good fortune.

Kay Lee (Culwell)

I have to agree with Kathy, God has always been with me through good times and bad, and my life is filled with blessings also.  I am so grateful for the Tulia that we grew up in, and the great friendships that I developed there, and for the wonderful school memories.

This is the first reunion I have been to since the tenth, and I am really glad I came.  It was so great seeing all the classmates.  I did miss seeing a few that I was looking forward to, maybe I will see them next time, because I am sure I will be at future reunions.  I swore I was not going to climb up on that float, but Dallana & I finally decided that if one of us would, the other would, and it turned out to be great fun.  Thank you Kathy & Buttons for going to the trouble of getting that part together for us.

Also, I have to say thanks to Cindi especially, along with Lloyd, Bev, Cornie, and all the others that helped pull this together, you did a really great job.  I hope everyone had a safe trip home, and hope to see you all at the next reunion.

Kathy: You summed up my feelings (and the feelings of many I'm sure) so well!

Congrats to our reunion prize winners! The beautiful necklace & matching earring sets were donated by our own Mary Lou (Delgado) Moreno who designed and crafted each piece. Thank you Mary Lou! You are so talented!!

The winners are:

1) Traveled the greatest distance: Sandi (Hair) Bentz - Anchorage, AK

2) Survivor Award: Randy Pope (never underestimate the power of prayer)

3) The "Baby" of the class: Gay (Roland) Jarvis (born in 1953)

Enjoy the gorgeous jewelry! Randy will benefit by seeing the jewelry on his lovely wife, Mary Jo.

I ran into Gay & Chip Jarvis at the airport, as well as Jan & Sparky Sparks.  Larry Wells joined me there for a Bon Voyage drink and I left him in Jan's good hands.

Thank you all for a very memorable weekend. Remember...it's all about peace, love & rock 'n roll & most importantly, forgiveness! Hugs to all. Cindi

I can only say that the night of July 17,2010 was an amazing moment of the uplifting spirit that is found in sagas of "Americana" that we read about happening in other small towns through out the USA.  Thank you my friends for at least opening the door for reconciliation and amends. I wished I had come for the entire day....and I only left so quickly because I was crying so hard. May you all walk in sunshine and giggle often.  Thank you all for being!! sincerely Larry Wells

Ok, so I learned that some of us would never earn an A in photography class.  23 developed rolls of film and many, many black photos.  The cameras were equipped with a "flash" but I suppose many did not realize this or simply did not know how to operate the flash.  It's all good, though, since we still ended up with many great shots!  I will be sorting through them in an attempt to post a photo of every attendee.

Thanks, Mike, for posting the videos! When I get my copy of the class group photo I will tag it with names & post on a link that you can access from the home page.  The candid shots will also be posted there.  Hopefully, I can complete this task by the end of the week.  Work tends to get in the way (ha).

Take care & again, it was great to see everyone!  Cindi
